Founder & Director
Fiona Kalaf

Fiona Kalaf is a chief executive, board chair, non-executive director, author and strategist with more than two decades of leadership experience across government, corporate and community sectors.
Originally trained in architecture and the visual arts, Fiona began her career as an art curator before moving into arts management, social impact leadership, financial services and executive management. This unconventional path shaped a distinctive approach to leadership grounded in curiosity, critical thinking and the ability to make sense of complex systems.
Through The Change Agenda, Fiona works with boards, executives and organisations navigating growth, transformation and change. She helps leaders develop practical, accountable strategies that deliver meaningful outcomes.
Her work sits at the intersection of strategy, governance, behaviour and social change – helping organisations move beyond aspiration and into action.
Fiona has led organisations across mental health, health and human services, employment services, financial services, education and the arts, and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the National Nutrition Foundation.
THE BOOK
Author & speaker
Fiona Kalaf is the author of How People Really Get On at Work, a practical and thought-provoking exploration of the unwritten rules, behaviours and social dynamics that shape modern workplaces.
Drawing on experiences spanning executive leadership, governance, entrepreneurship and organisational transformation, her writing examines what really influences trust, judgement, culture and performance – often in ways that formal structures and policies cannot.
Long before social media made personal publishing commonplace, Fiona built and curated HoneyHoney, an online platform and retail business that combined design, storytelling and global trend-spotting. That experience reinforced her belief that ideas, relationships and trust are often more valuable than products themselves.
Today, through her writing, speaking and The Change Agenda Log, Fiona explores leadership, organisational change, governance, social impact and the human realities of work.
Her insights have been sought by boards, executives, professional associations and industry forums, and she is increasingly recognised for her ability to connect strategic thinking with practical leadership in complex environments.

From change fatigue to change fluency
Change fatigue has become a familiar condition in many organisations. New strategies, restructures, systems, and priorities arrive in relentless waves, each requiring people to adapt, learn, and deliver — and often without letting go of previous initiatives.
The result is disengagement, frustration, and a quiet erosion of trust.
But the reality is that change isn’t slowing down.
